Hi there! I'm Roxanne, owner, designer, photographer, marketing manager...wife, mom, you know, all the things! 

Here is a little bit about me and how KC Custom Ink got started. I've always been an artsy person, so naturally I went to art school after high school. The Kansas City Art Institute was where my love of graphic design began. They didn't have a degree program at the time so I attended JCCC until I found a university that did. I graduated from Central Missouri State University with a Communication Arts degree and began working in the printing industry soon after. That was 18 years ago, totally just dated myself, yikes! 

I had the pleasure of working for a couple printing companies after graduating where I learned so much of the back end process...things most graphic designers never learn. In 2008, my husband and I started our family and shortly after, I started my own photography business that eventually allowed me to quit my "day job". 

A few years later, I began assisting a local t-shirt shop with design jobs, here and there. The owner taught me whatever I wanted to learn and I loved everything about it...from designing my own shirts, to seeing the final product come to life! I knew then I would own my own t-shirt printing business some day! My husband shared my passion for printing and wanted to learn everything about that process. KC Custom Ink was born in 2021 and we couldn't be happier with how far we've come in such a short time!
